height: 181px;\" src=\"http:\/\/judithnatellimclaughlin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/One%20of%20%20Three.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"One of  Three.jpg\" width=\"148\" height=\"105\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">All I can say is wow!\u00a0 The first, second, third and fourth graders at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cliffsidepark.edu\/school6.html\">Cliffside Park School Number 6<\/a> totally ROCK!\u00a0 Thanks so much to Gini Luraschi for bringing me to the school and to principal, Lorraine Morrow, for encouraging the event.\u00a0 First, I spoke with the first and second graders.\u00a0 We recited poetry together from my book, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Poems on Fruits and Odes to Veggies<\/span>.\u00a0 And I even got to recite my poem, I Brush My Teeth Each Morning, from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Rolling in the Aisles<\/span>.\u00a0 The kids were great listeners and great participants too!\u00a0 And together, the group wrote their own poem.\u00a0 You can read it at the end of my post.<\/div>\n<p>Next, I spoke with the third and fourth graders.\u00a0 Once again, I was blown away.\u00a0 The kids are bright, fun and terrific listeners.\u00a0 And each time I recited a poem, I got a terrific round of applause.\u00a0 Boy, was my heart overflowing with good vibes!\u00a0 My second group also wrote their own poem.\u00a0 And both groups raised the roof right off the building when I asked them to shout the word zucchini!\u00a0 I loved it.\u00a0 The following are the poems the children wrote.\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ten Funny Poems<\/strong><\/span> by, Cliffside Park 1st &amp; 2nd graders<\/p>\n<p>I like to eat apples<\/p>\n<p>The pumpkin was sweet<\/p>\n<p>I love bananas<\/p>\n<p>I am a gorilla<\/p>\n<p>A monkey is on my sister&#8217;s face<\/p>\n<p>The pink tiger knows my identity<\/p>\n<p>The pizza is very hot<\/p>\n<p>Zucchini is a funny word<\/p>\n<p>My camera is pink<\/p>\n<p>A raspberry is good<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The Crazy Poem<\/strong><\/span> by, Cliffside Park 3rd &amp; 4th graders<\/p>\n<p>Basketball is a game you always want to see<\/p>\n<p>After you see it, you want to eat chocolate<\/p>\n<p>and sing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious<\/p>\n<p>And then you say, &#8220;Hi!&#8221;
