I shared my poetry with the children and they shared their poetry with me!\u00a0 A real poetry win-win.\u00a0 You can read more about my\u00a0day at Pleasantdale\u00a0\u00a0here<\/a>,\u00a0on the West Orange Public Schools website.\u00a0What follows are the the poems the children and I wrote together.\u00a0 I know you will agree…they are FANTASTIC!<\/div>\n

The House<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kindergarten & 1st Grade Students<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The house was big<\/span><\/p>\n

The mouse in the house<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a good man<\/span><\/p>\n

The rat is fat <\/span><\/p>\n

The fox in the box<\/span><\/p>\n

I sat on the couch<\/span><\/p>\n

I have a box<\/span><\/p>\n

The big bat flew away<\/span><\/p>\n

I forgot my sox<\/span><\/p>\n

The fat rat sat<\/span><\/p>\n

The Food Festival<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

4th<\/sup> & 5th<\/sup> Grade Students<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Food gives us something to eat<\/span><\/p>\n

Fruits are so delicious<\/span><\/p>\n

I eat Chocolate Chip Cookies<\/span><\/p>\n

I like cheese Pizza<\/span><\/p>\n

I bake a delicious cake<\/span><\/p>\n

The Zebra will be eaten<\/span><\/p>\n

We have a big feast<\/span><\/p>\n

Burgers are good to eat<\/span><\/p>\n

Fries will make you Fat<\/span><\/p>\n

Bacon makes Kevin feel better<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0We\u2019re ALL Different<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2nd & 3rd<\/sup> Grade Students<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Waterslides are fun<\/span><\/p>\n

Apples are sweet<\/span><\/p>\n

It would be smart to swim not sink<\/span><\/p>\n

Shine bright like a diamond<\/span><\/p>\n

Smart as reading<\/span><\/p>\n

A drink of water is good for you<\/span><\/p>\n

A link is pink<\/span><\/p>\n

Guests are fun<\/span><\/p>\n

Think like Albert Einstein<\/span><\/p>\n
