Hello to all my friends at the Holy Trinity Interparochial School! I had an opportunity to visit the Pre-K and K campus in Mountainside, NJ yesterday and boy did we have fun!
Thanks to HTIS teacher, Mari Melao, for putting me in touch with Lesle Lewis, who brought me to this wonderful school! With the help of my friends, I recited poetry from my book, Poems on Fruits and Odes to Veggies. These eager, and excellent children shouted the word zucchini at the top of their lungs, and let me tell you, they got it loud, right on the first try! And then they whispered the word zucchini, and they were super good at that too. And together, we learned a new word…alliteration! And then I, Joyful Judy, read my Pepper poem. Alliteration! Finally, the children and I wrote a really funny poem together. (We are pictured below writing our poem). And kids, as I promised, here it is…

Red makes my tummy feel good
I don’t know why
Pineapple blobs are
weird
Yellow carrots are fun
My zucchini flag is number one!
